Tips For Decorating Your Motorcycle Jacket

So you purchased new leather motorcycle jackets and you want to make them look like real biker jackets huh? There are a number of things you can do to decorate your jacket in order to give it a more classic biker look. Here are some great ideas.

When you purchase your jacket you'll notice that there are a number of different potential areas where new items can be added. The sleeves are a great spot for decorative items, the back panel is an even better spot, and you'll see that there is plenty of room on the front as well. Flat areas on the jacket where there is no hardware, seams, or other obstacles are the perfect areas for miscellaneous decorative items.

Once you've identified the areas on your motorcycle jacket that are right for modification, then all you have to do is decide what you are going to put there. Here are a few ideas.

Motorcycle Club custom logo

Are you in a motorcycle club? If so, and if your club has a custom logo, then it would make the perfect decorative addition to your jacket. You could have a huge patch made up of your custom logo and have it sewn on to the back of your jacket, or anywhere else that it fits for that matter. Affixing a motorcycle club custom logo to a biker jacket is actually a pretty popular thing to do because it helps show unity and dedication to a specific purpose. It's one way of showing how bikers stick together and stay loyal to one another.

Biker Patches

If you aren't a member of a motorcycle club and don't have a custom logo that you can make into a patch, then you can always resort to using any type of patch for your jacket. You can purchase patches with many different types of decorations from eagles to iron crosses to semi-trucks. You can even buy a patch that has a John Deere tractor on it. The point is, if you have an idea for the perfect patch for your jacket, then chances are you'll be able to find something like it, or at least have it custom made for you.

You can also decorate your motorcycle jacket by having custom embroidery work done to it. You can draw up your own cool design, grab a design from the internet, or find a design from anywhere else and have it sewn into your jacket in any spot you like. Embroidering designs into your jacket can help add color, character, and uniqueness to your motorcycle jacket.
